Once again we had a great time hosting an open build day with the folks from CIT: the day’s building efforts centered around making head parts for a giant Cerberus, a three-headed mythical dog that will be guarding the entrance to Sub-Terrain.

This is the smallest head, largely the loving work of Jesse a.k.a. “Roadkill”

Roadkill is coaching a couple of young visitors on how to assemble and glue together teeth.

Hair of the dog. Sorry, I couldn’t resist…

Meanwhile, Josh is working on a giant bellows.

The inner cave is being textured, mainly by Michael.

Joel chats with curious kids while building out the rocky exterior of the space.

The skull presiding over the secret entrance to Sub-Terrain is looking majestic.

I am smitten and ridiculously in love with this idea. My kids are constantly building out of paper. Yesterday, Ben made a hat out of paper, with string hanging down all around and little bottle corks. It was an adventure hat. He also built his own Iron Man out of Metal and wore it for Halloween this year. He is eight.
