How plastic bottles are recycled into polyester

As we prepare for our final Open MAKE event of the year, dedicated to Trash, we’re thinking of ways in which to repurpose and upcycle materials that could be considered rubbish. Here’s an interesting video from National Geographic on the lengthy and complicated process through which our discarded plastic bottles start life anew as polyester.
